Feels like coming home
Nestled in a wooded area and surrounded by trees, the Flat Rock Inn will welcome you like an old friend. The 1888 Victorian home and lovely porch wraps itself around your heart. Located just minutes from the Flat Rock Playhouse and Carl Sandburg's home, the inn is truly the perfect place to relax. Walk down the cobbled sidewalk to the unique shops in Rainbow Row. Local artists sell their wares and the bakery has fresh bread, pastries, and pizza. Apple orchards and antique shops abound in the area. Historic Hendersonville with its charming Main Street boutiques is a short drive down the road. Biltmore Estate is an easy day trip from Flat Rock. Hiking, fishing, and lovely waterfalls are nearby at DuPont State Forest and Pisgah National Forest.
Sit in a rocking chair and "talk story" with Dang and Sandi. Every afternoon you can pull up a chair, have a glass of wine and hear stories of Hawaii. Watch the hummingbirds and other wildlife come to the edge of the porch for their dinner while planning a night out at one of Hendersonville's many fine restaurants. Plan an evening at the theater and you can walk back under the stars.
All of our rooms have queen-size beds and their own private bath. Two rooms have porches that overlook the beautiful two-acre property. Our guest refrigerator is stocked full of beverages and snacks. Room rates include an old fashioned country breakfast. Breakfast is a big deal here and often includes fresh biscuits, bacon and sausage from the local butcher, and Kona coffee brought straight from the Hawaiian islands!
The Flat Rock Inn is also available for afternoon tea, private parties, family reunions, and special occasions. Let us provide the perfect setting for your special getaway!
